Spotted a really interesting article on Security Focus about Web Browser Computer Forensics. Pretty evident that there's nothing 100% safe online.

Life...Is it really meant to be this way?

What a day it's been?! Sometimes, i wonder, is life meant to be this way? Are we really supposed to be all so stressed out with work, family, etc. I mean think about it...there's more to it than just running around the office, doing stuff for the big boss. Surely there's a way out...or maybe not. I know where i live in, it's hard earning a living if you're not paid well. That's life init?

Introducing...

Well, Founder of the upcoming InfoSecurityCenter.com, a mini-site i'm creating specifically catered towards the online security community. I'm hoping for it to be a one-stop portal for news, articles, virus alerts, discussions and whatever else that may come about later. It'll be up soon so remember to check it out at www.infosecuritycenter.com.

This being my first post, there isn't much to say really. I've come about this blog generation pretty late and I decided to see what was the big hype all about. Allow me to introduce myself...

I'm Amit Bhatia...Male, 1.75m tall, 68kg, 23 yrs old and pretty decent looking. I'm currently working at Interspire for slightly more than a month and it's been great thus far. Prior to that, I was in the military for a good two years. I must confess that unlike my other cadet friends, I didn't spend much of my days at Boot Camp. It was well over in the initial stages. Due to a medical problem, I went on to be a webprogrammer for the Ministry of Defence. Yes, a desk job and not very "macho" after all. It was no doubt a huge blow to my ego but turned out to be a blessing in disguise really. The best job anyone could ask for -- in the military. I was heavily involved with Web design/development and was in charge of maintaing their corporate website hence, making the experience worthwhile.

I then moved on to SAP Asia Pacific after completing my term where I was involved in various key aspects of the marketing division. I had the task of driving forth their Web marketing efforts in Asia Pacific and once again, maitaining their online presence.

There wasn't much to ponder over when the opportunity at Interspire arose. I was pretty sick of doing online maintainence and was seeking an environment where I knew my efforts would have a direct (and beneficial) impact on the business and customers I was serving. Eddie, my current boss, had an offer and the rest as they say, is history.

I would describe myself as a risk-taker who is on the gogo at every second, with a zest for ideas and creative thought, I see myself making a significant contribution to wherever i am. I love reading and am an avid Manchester United fan (Sad to see Glazer takeover). My main role at Interspire will be to help out with first level product support and sales, online marketing, writing articles for our newsletters, and looking for opportunities to expand Interspire.

That's it, till we meet again!

Amit
